A Summer Wedding at The Cornwall Inn

The Kreadys

Antique elegance in the summer heat

Hannah and Noah’s wedding day at The Cornwall Inn was nothing short of unforgettable. This charming venue was the perfect choice for their celebration, offering the luxury of a full weekend to soak in every moment with their loved ones. From start to finish, their day was filled with beautiful details, heartfelt moments, and creative solutions to beat the summer heat.

The couple began their day inside the Inn, taking full advantage of its stunning interiors. Noah prepared in a beautifully designed suite, while Hannah added the final touches to her look in the Inn’s elegant, moody bathrooms. The warm tones and sophisticated design of these spaces made for dreamy getting-ready photos. Despite the June heatwave—which made it feel like the hottest day of the year—the calm and cozy atmosphere indoors set the perfect tone for their day.

The ceremony took place outside, where guests gathered with accordion folding fans in hand, doing their best to stay cool under the summer sun. One of the most memorable moments happened just before the ceremony: we captured a unique angle of Hannah walking down the aisle from inside the Inn. Framed by the large windows, this shot remains one of my all-time favorite photos.

The ceremony was short and sweet, with love and joy radiating through every moment. Despite the heat, the couple’s vows and the palpable excitement from their guests made it all worth it.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a much-needed reprieve during cocktail hour. They took the opportunity to hydrate (or dehydrate—cheers!) and cool off before the festivities kicked into high gear. The Cornwall Inn’s shaded outdoor spaces and refreshing beverages helped everyone recharge for the evening ahead.

Before the reception officially began, we noticed dark clouds gathering overhead, hinting at an impending rainstorm. With the weather and heat in mind, we pivoted to capture Hannah and Noah’s portraits indoors. The Cornwall Inn’s interiors did not disappoint—from antique sofas and big, light-filled windows to gorgeous artwork, every corner provided a stunning backdrop. These intimate, indoor portraits are some of my favorites to date, showcasing the couple’s love and the Inn’s timeless charm.

As the evening unfolded, Hannah swapped her long, intricate, beaded wedding gown for a short, chic reception dress. This change allowed her to dance the night away with ease, and she looked just as radiant as ever. The reception was full of energy, laughter, and love, as guests celebrated the newlyweds late into the night.

While the heat kept us mostly indoors, the day was a testament to flexibility and finding beauty in every situation. Hannah and Noah’s wedding at The Cornwall Inn was a perfect reflection of their love: warm, vibrant, and unforgettable.
